Ariel and Curt’s wedding day started off just like any other, except for this day was long overdue. I say this for the reason that Ariel and Curt were supposed to actually get married last year. But as we all know, the pandemic shut the whole world down for quite some time. Ariel and Curt did decide to elope last year at Mountain Creek resort during the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily I had the honor to capture both their elopement and their big wedding day celebration! You can check out their Mountain Creek Resort elopement HERE.
Mountain Creek Resort not only offers a beautiful mountain top view for a ceremony place via a short gondola ride, but they also offer a ceremony space on ground level as well. Ariel and Curt decided for their 4th of July wedding that they would keep things simple and get married in the Appalachian Hotel Courtyard with the Appalachian Hotel as the background. Seeing how it was the 4th of July when Ariel and Curt got married, of course, we had to do something red white and blue-themed for their portraits. Ariel asked me if we could do something with smoke bombs and of course I was absolutely thrilled to do portraits with a red white and blue smoke bomb!
Ariel and Curt stuck with most traditions but incorporated a lot of their elopement from last year into this year‘s 4th of July wedding. One of which was setting up a projector so that everyone could watch the father-daughter and mother-son dance from last year on a big screen. Both Ariel and Curt danced again with their parents as the video played and it was an absolutely touching moment! Curt also danced with their brand new baby daughter Savannah, with Ariel joining in halfway through creating such a beautiful memory. Both weddings created so many great memories and I am so happy to call these two my friends!
