Barnegat Lighthouse State Park Beach Engagement Session | Emily and John | Ultimate Edge Photography

Emily and John have the type of personalities that truly just warm your heart and put a smile on your face! The moment I officially met them was for their engagement session and I immediately knew that we were going to be a perfect fit for one another. They were both so bubbly, giggly, and just a joy to be around which makes my job so easy!

Emily and John were originally supposed to get married in 2020 but due to COVID19, they had to make a change of plans. They will be getting married at Crystal Point Yacht Club in June of 2021 and I could not be more excited for them!

We shot their engagement session at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park and I could not have been more thrilled!! Emily actually grew up going to Barnegat Lighthouse when she was younger but it had been many years since she was last there. With the history that Emily had with the Barnegat Lighthouse, it made it a perfect location for their engagement session! Plus, I have been wanting to do a session at Barnegat Lighthouse for a while now so it could not have worked out more perfectly!

At the beginning of the session we were able to get some of the amazing glowy shots I love to capture but about mid-way through their session the sun dipped behind a huge cloud which, in my opinion, is the best for this location! The way the sun sets makes it a little tough to photograph with the lighthouse in the background. However, I would say a partly cloudy day would be the absolute best for this spot!

Towards the end of their session, we were able to get the wonderful cotton candy skies that I love so much for the sunset shots. The subtle light blues and pinks in the sky along with the jetty in the background make Emily and John’s images below absolutely dreamy and magical! Just take a look for yourself!

Those cotton candy sunset’s are my favorite!

Oh, John did good picking out that beauty of a ring!
