I have been wanted to do a session under a pier for quite some time now so I was thrilled when Sydney and Robert suggested the pier at the Belmar Fisherman’s Club and Belmar Beach for their engagement session! Where I lived in Florida, we didn’t have piers or even a jetty’s so the beaches there became very boring to photograph. What I love about the beaching in the northeast is that they have options, so that it gives us variety to the images compared to literally just sand and water!
Beach sessions are a struggle because normally there is not a lot to work with; all the scenery is the same. However, when you choose a location such as Belmar Fisherman’s Club pier, this gives you a lot of variety because it offers a touch of greenery, the pier, and the jetty. My new favorite spot on any beach would be the jetty if I am being honest! I absolutely love the rock and the way it appears to disappear into the ocean in images!
Sydney and Robert will be getting married at The Columns in Avalon, New Jersey which is just a few blocks down from the Belmar Fisherman’s Club. I am hoping we will be able to do a few shots at the pier on their wedding day as well! Fingers crossed! I truly can’t wait to capture these two on their wedding day. Sydney and Robert are such a sweet couple and I can already tell their wedding day is going to be so much fun!
