I truly feel like I just captured Jenna and Santino’s engagement session only a few months ago! May would mark one year from when we captured their Asbury Park Engagement Session and I can’t believe it has been almost a year now since I last saw them last! You can view Jenna and Santino’s engagement session blog post HERE!
Jenna contacted me a few months ago to let me know that they were going to postpone their wedding reception due to COVID and the fact that New Jersey was still implementing shutdowns. At the time, New Jersey was only allowing a maximum of 25% capacity, no dance floor, and no bar, so honestly, I understand postponing the wedding reception because dancing and drinking is what a wedding reception is all about! With all the restrictions, Jenna and Santino decided to still have their wedding ceremony on their original date, but postpone the reception until September of 2021. I am hopeful that we will have more leniency with wedding receptions by September! *fingers crossed*
Luckily though, Jenna and Santino were still able to get married on their original date! The weather was calling for a 70% chance of rain a few days prior but by the time their wedding day came, we got blue skies and sun! I am so honored that I was able to document these special memories for Jenna and Santino. They got married at their original church of choice, Saint Barnabas Catholic Church of Bayville, and it turned out to be such a beautiful ceremony! Their wedding colors were super simple with touches of ivory and sage. Believe it or not but Jenna’s florals was made by Shoprite! Jenna is now my second bride that has had their florals done by Shoprite and I am not going to lie I am very impressed with the way their floral have been!
There were so many little touches that I loved from Jenna and Santino’s wedding day! The sage bridesmaid dresses Jenna picked for her girls were absolutely beautiful that they picked out from David’s Bridal. Also, the grooms’ attire came from ChazMaTazz Formalwear, which if you have never been to ChazMaTazz before, I highly recommend checking them out for your groom or groomsmen attire! ChazMaTazz has just a wonderful selection and the staff are so friendly! Funny story actually, for our wedding Jason needed to get his suit fitted one last time before the big day. We got married in Florida, so ChazMaTazz we limited on how much they could fit his suit before we left to head down south. Jason ended up losing a lot of weight before our wedding so I needed to find a tailor down in Stuart Florida to do the final touches. Little did we know that the tailer I chose down in Florida used to work with ChatMaTazz when they first started up the business and were still friends with each other! It is such a small world, but says so much about ChatMaTazz that they are so well known even all the way down in Florida!
Jenna’s Casablanca Evelina styled ball gown was absolutely stunning! The off the shoulder look with the 3D flowers in a beautiful silver blush color was so breath-taking on Jenna. Casablanca Bridals is a wonderful option for any bride looking for the perfect wedding dress! Jenna found her Casablanca ball gown wedding dress at Seng Couture in Fanwood, New Jersey. Seng Couture also has Allure Bridals wedding gowns, which is personally my favorite because this is the designer I wore on my wedding day, as well as a bunch of other top brand named wedding dresses!
No matter where you may be at in your wedding planning process, don’t forget that the number one more important thing to remember if that your wedding day is all about you and your future spouse, especially in a pandemic! If 2020 has taught me anything, it is that the time I get to spend with my husband is precious. If you are struggling to plan a wedding during a pandemic, especially in New Jersey were most things are still on tight restrictions, just remember that you are not alone. Just like Jenna and Santino’s wedding day, you can still have an absolutely beautiful day no matter what the world is doing around you! <3
