I have been Emily’s engagement photographer, wedding photographer, and now her Maternity Photographer too. Emily’s maternity shoot on Long Beach Island was a day that will be remembered forever. It was one of the foggiest days I have ever photographed! And there were moments when we questioned whether we should reschedule. However, Emily was determined to capture this special time in her life, carrying their second child, Sophie.
As soon as Emily stepped onto the beach, it was clear that the fog added a magical quality to the shoot. The soft light filtered through the mist, creating a dreamy backdrop for the photos. Emily’s radiant beauty shone through too. She glowed with the anticipation of welcoming another child into their family.
It was heartwarming to see the love and excitement with the family. Sophie’s big brother and sister were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new sibling. It was clear that little Sophie would be surrounded by love and support from the moment she was born.
Despite the challenging weather conditions on Long Beach Island, Emily and the family were a trooper throughout the shoot. She braved the wind and the mist, her hair whipping around her face as she posed for the camera. Her grace and poise never wavered, and she embraced the foggy backdrop with a sense of adventure and whimsy.
As the shoot progressed, the fog began to lift slightly, revealing glimpses of the ocean beyond. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing soundtrack to the shoot, adding to the overall sense of calm and serenity.
I couldn’t help but be in awe of Emily’s strength and beauty as she moved gracefully along the beach, her baby bump leading the way. She exuded a quiet confidence and inner peace that was truly inspiring.
