Starla’s newborn session was definitely one for the books! As one of the many Newborn Photographers New Jersey, I was used to working in the controlled environment of my studio. But when mom and dad expressed their desire to have their family photos taken outside, I knew I had to get creative.
The studio’s exterior was under construction at the time, so we had to come up with a plan B. That’s when we decided to head to a local park for the photoshoot. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather, but photographing a newborn outside definitely presented some unique challenges.
One of the biggest challenges of shooting outside with a newborn is the unpredictable nature of the elements. From sudden changes in lighting to noisy distractions, there were so many factors to consider. And let’s not forget that the baby is the boss – if they’re not happy, the whole shoot can be derailed.
On top of that, the timing was crucial. With a newborn, you never know how long it’s going to take to settle them down. So if we had to spend an hour soothing Starla, we could miss out on that perfect golden hour light for our photos.
After that experience, I now offer outdoor sessions only at the studio. This way, we can still capture that outdoorsy feel while having all the comforts and necessities for the baby close by. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
Despite the challenges, the end result was absolutely worth it. The photos turned out beautifully, with a mix of soft natural light and lush greenery in the background. Starla looked like a little princess in every shot, and mom and dad were thrilled with the final product.
As one of the many Newborn Photographers New Jersey, it’s always a joy to be able to capture these special moments for families. Whether it’s in the studio or outside in a park, every session is unique and memorable in its own way.
So if you’re considering a newborn session, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Trust your photographer to come up with creative solutions, and you’ll be amazed at the results. And who knows, you might just end up with some truly unforgettable photos that you’ll cherish for years to come!
In the end, Starla’s outdoor newborn session was a challenge, but it was also a reminder of the joy and beauty that comes with capturing these precious moments. And as one of the many Newborn Photographers New Jersey, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
