Perona Farms Wedding for Kayla And Michael

There are so many highlights from Kayla and Michael’s wedding at Perona Farms that we wish we could do it all again. With bright colors, gorgeous outfits, and fabulous friends and family, the day was a dream to photograph. Even an appearance from their adorable pup, Winsten, for the ceremony and a few portraits.

Everyone at this Perona Farms wedding was in a joyous mood. We were busy shooting all the details, including sunflowers, sparkly bridal shoes, and hot pink bridesmaid dresses. There were personalized decorations that were as beautiful as they were thoughtful. Kayla, a talented DIY queen, made all of her decorations which is so impressive because it’s time-consuming and surely not easy.

Kayla had her hair done by her friend Amanda while Ashley Landry created a stunning make-up look for the excited bride. She looks fantastic in her beaded gown with a plunging neck and back. The vibrant florals by David Stout from Floral Boutique were much admired. They really popped with the bridal party’s hot pink outfits.

Perona Farms First Look

Dad’s first look was so sentimental, and everyone gathered around to see Kayla’s bridal look. At the same time, Michael was waiting to see his bride for the first time. He looked dapper in a blue suit with a bright buttonhole. His nerves quickly turned to joy and excitement when he finally saw Kayla. His reaction is priceless, and a first look is always one of the lovely moments of the day. It’s also a particular time for the couple to steal some private moments. This is my favorite as I photograph their giddy anticipation before the ceremony.

During the bridal party photos, we said hello to the cutest pooch, and you all know I’m an animal lover. When couples bring their pet to the wedding to be included in the photos, I’m always so happy.

Ceremony & Reception Moments

The ceremony was held in the Perona Farms atrium with a sunny backdrop of sunflowers and draping. It was an emotional and heartfelt ceremony with pretty light flowing through the glass windows. As Kayla and Michael were announced as man and wife, they danced down the aisle in a blissful blur of happiness. I love their energy and enthusiasm and was glad they were up for sunset photos. Despite the temperatures dropping by the minute, these two braved the cold like champions.

The reception was another festival of fabulous color with eye-catching decor. It was so clever how the couple had their sweetheart table with the cake behind them. It was a fantastic feature with a neon sign saying “You Are My Sunshine”. Flowers in front of the couple, a display of more flowers, lanterns, and pumpkins gave the nod to the fall season.

This group enjoyed every moment of the celebration, and the night went by so fast. Fantasy Productions DJ Entertainment had everyone dancing all night long, and only during dinner and speeches the dance floor was empty.

The Refinery at Perona Farms is so well set up for weddings. With a chic industrial theme, there is a host of spaces to choose from for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. If you are getting married there or anywhere in South Jersey or beyond, let’s connect and talk about your vision for the day.
