I love everything about Scotland Run Golf Club weddings for a multitude of reasons, one of which that the grounds are so pretty and the staff is the best! When Rebecca contacted me, I was thrilled to hear her and Guy booked Scotland Run as their venue!
Rebecca and Guy actually live in Florida so it wasn’t until a few months before their wedding that I had the chance to meet Rebecca. She was finally able to make it up to New Jersey with her mother Stacey to finalizing a few details for the big day. I could tell just from our emails back and forth that we would be a good fit for each other, but once we finally had a chance to meet, it was like the icing on the cake. Rebecca is so kind and has a wonderful personality, I knew that she and I would mesh very well together on the wedding day!
I didn’t meet with Guy until the day of their wedding, which to be honest always freaks me out a little bit. I ideally like to meet my couples well before the wedding so that we can establish a connection before the big day because then it won’t feel like some random stranger walking into your room for prep photos. However, it was just not possible for Guy to make it up to New Jersey before the big day. Guy is a police officer down in Florida and as we all know the world has been quite a bit crazy lately so I’m sure he had his hands very full with work!
Rebecca and Guy opted in for a day-time wedding and if I am being completely honest, these are my all-time favorites! I am a morning person (not so much in the talkative sense, but in the get-up and go sense) so I don’t have an issue with waking up at 4 am to get the day started for work! I would rather be able to be home for dinner and possibly squeeze in a movie, so give me ALL the day-time weddings!
I also love day-time weddings because it’s always bright out, even on a cloudy day! As a light and airy photographer, I love everything about natural light so we don’t have to worry about squeezing in portraits before sunset, which is a huge stress reliever! Also, typically day-time weddings are a much more affordable option for couples! Some people may think that the party won’t be as fun compared to an evening wedding, and I can first hand tell you that this is not the case!
If you are looking at a venue you love, but it is over your budget, see if they offer a day-time or brunch wedding like Rebecca and Guy opted in for! You could be surprised at how much you could save! Just check out some of my favorites from the day-time wedding at the gorgeous Scotland Run!
The reaction Rebecca had the moment she saw herself in the mirror for the first time all dolled up is simply priceless!!
There is nothing better than a strong Mother/Daughter bond!
First looks with Dad always get me! Michael’s reaction to seeing his gorgeous daughter for the first time is so heartwarming!
That look though! Ugh, Rebecca is SO stunning!
Flower Girl Lexi was so adorable and filled with so much joy!
Of course, you have to get a mask shot especially when the masks match your wedding colors!!
