Sometimes, as a South Jersey family photographer, my clients like to get their hair and makeup done prior to sessions. Cyndy, my trusted local makeup and hair stylist. Se runs her own salon called Do or Dye Salon in Tuckerton, New Jersey. She is the go-to stylist for my boudoir clients and mothers who want to look glamorous for their newborn photos. I give my clients the choice of getting their hair and makeup done either in my studio or at Cyndy’s salon, depending on their convenience. Luckily both my studio and her salon are located in the same town. This makes it super easy for clients regardless of the option they choose.
Even though I no longer capture boudoir, I still encourage my mamas for their newborn session to get beautified if they wish! It is so convenient when Cyndy comes to the studio. This way mama doesnt have to leave her baby! I focus on capturing the babies solos, and dada or siblings with baby while mama finishes up.

Recently, I had an urgent last-minute booking, and Cyndy, who had just had a baby a month ago, came out of her maternity leave to accommodate my client. She is truly the best! I was incredibly grateful for her dedication and wanted to show my appreciation. As a thank you, I offered her a complimentary South Jersey family photographer photoshoot. How could I not return the favor?! She brought her newborn with her to my clients session. My client also being a mama did not mind the newborn snuggles while Cyndy dolled her up.
Everyone in Cyndy’s family was delightful to work with, and all the girls were especially excited to have their pictures taken with their newest sister. We were fortunate to have perfect weather for the session. It was a warm fall afternoon at Stafford Forge, one of my favorite locations for portrait sessions. This place offers stunning sunset lighting that adds a beautiful glow to the photographs.
Overall, the shoot was a great success, and I was thrilled to capture precious moments for Cyndy and her family while expressing my gratitude for her dedication and support.
