Finding the best newborn photographers in South Jersey can sometimes feel like an overwhelming task. That’s why I wrote this blog to help you easily find a list of photographers that I, as a South Jersey newborn photographer, recommend. Naturally, my name is at the top of this list because I take pride in offering flexibility along with adorable photos. However, as you continue reading, you’ll find other photographers I seriously considered hiring when welcoming my second baby into the world. Below are my top recommendations for the best newborn photographers in South Jersey.
Some parents find it easy to welcome a new family member, while others struggle with the transition. I have experienced both situations with each of my children! With my first child, I faced severe postpartum depression and anger, which made it extremely difficult to leave the house. That’s why I offer flexible packages and scheduling. Bringing a baby into this world is challenging enough, and a photoshoot shouldn’t add to that stress. The ability to adjust your package to accommodate postpartum struggles or the needs of other children is one of the key benefits of hiring me as your photographer. If you have a concern about something, just ask! I guarantee I have an easy fix or solution.
Don’t worry if you forgot something at home. Other than formula, I have everything you might need. My studio is packed with snacks, water, and coffee for you and your little ones. Forgot a diaper? No problem, I have diapers, wipes, and diaper creams! The studio also includes a television with Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, and Netflix to keep you and your kids entertained while I photograph your newest addition.
I offer a curated client closet specifically for mothers, providing a selection of beautiful dresses to choose from for their photoshoot. This thoughtful addition ensures that every mom feels confident and comfortable, allowing them to focus on creating genuine moments during the session while looking and feeling their best.
There are plenty of photography-friendly toys if your little ones are reluctant to take photos. These toys are picture-perfect, so if your little one insists on holding a toy, these toys will not be a distraction in your photos! But of course, I also have the colorful, fun toys that all kids love. You can relax on the couch, snuggle in a blanket, take a nap, or sip some coffee and catch up on the news. Your family’s comfort is my number one priority!
I believe in the “Baby and Toddler are the Boss” method. This means that when I’m photographing your family, the toddler is in charge, and I do everything I can to make them comfortable. Whether that involves giving them time to adjust to a new space, playing a game with them on the floor before we start taking photos, or letting them help me photograph their new sibling, my main goal is to ensure your toddler feels at ease during the family photo session.
When photographing a newborn, I believe the baby is the boss. If your newborn needs a diaper change, I’m on it. Say your newborn needs to be fed (if they are bottle-fed, of course); I can assist with that, too. If your newborn has gas and requires help getting comfortable, I’m also here for that. I have photographed over 50 newborns in the last 2 years. With that, I have learned to recognize what they need to be comfortable during photo shoots. I also noticed the signs indicating they may require a little extra TLC, which I never mind!
As a newborn photographer myself, I understand that finding another photographer to capture your family can be incredibly challenging. Truthfully, I genuinely admire the work of many photographers, but I have to admit that I am quite particular about my preferences! I essentially want a photographer who can capture images the way I would and edit them in a similar style but without me having to do anything. I know it sounds a bit contradictory!
However, I want to share some South Jersey newborn photographers whose work I absolutely adore. Some of these photographers know me personally, while others I have yet to meet. Regardless, I felt compelled to give them a little extra support because I believe their work is exceptional and definitely worth considering when researching the best newborn photographers in South Jersey!
These are in no particular order 🙂
I admired Petal & Glass’s work because it was clean, sharp, and consistent. I am naturally drawn to golden tones, so I especially loved that some of her images feature this warm hue. The way she captures candid and genuine moments truly captivated me.
Veronika Paluch’s work always catches my attention when I’m scrolling through Instagram late at night. I absolutely love her style! The simplicity and crisp details of her images really warm my heart. I’m also impressed that she has a client closet, just like I do. Her dresses are stunning, and I appreciate that I didn’t have to worry about finding my own dress.
I have been following Jackie on social media for a while now, and we have chatted occasionally, but I have not officially met her. I really love her work, especially her holiday sessions! Her photography is consistent, and her energy is incredibly inviting. She seems so sweet and easy to work with. She is a mom of three boys, so I naturally adore any other boy-mom photographer!
Just one look at her work, and you’ll understand why she deserves to be on this list. I have never met Ally, but it is a dream of mine to be photographed by her. She creates fine art, and she is truly fantastic at it! Her ability to make these pregnant mothers glow like diamonds is something I admire. Her work is so clean, crisp, and modern. Ally’s newborn images are something out of a magazine!
I started following Susan Hennessey while I was photographing weddings. It wasn’t until I started researching photographers that I discovered she also specializes in newborn photography! I feel that her style is similar to mine, with warm tones and crisp details. Honestly, I would have hired Susan if I hadn’t ended up photographing my own newborn!
