The Mansion at Mountain Lakes Wedding | Mountain Lakes NJ | Emily and Daniel Married | Ultimate Edge Photography

The day started out with warm welcomes as I walked into Emily’s parent’s home in Morris Plains, New Jersey to begin bride prep. My second photographer, Michael, started groom prep with Daniel and the groomsmen at Embassy Suites in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey. The excitement from the moment I walked into the door was contagious and made a wonderful start to the day! After preparations, we made out way to The Mansion at Mountain Lake in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. This was the first time Michael and I ever been to The Mansion at Mountain Lakes and I must say it is beautiful! The Mansion at Mountain Lakes indoor Bellhall Grand room for Emily and Daniel’s ceremony site and the Grand Ballroom for their reception was absolutely gorgeous with updated fixtures all throughout, bright walls for a light and airy feel, and very high ceilings. The Mansion at Mountain Lakes bridal suite is a statement room in itself as well with a very large full-length mirror to create stunning bridal portraits!

I feel like Emily and Daniel’s wedding day has been a long time coming so I can only imagine what it must have felt like for them! I shot their engagement session which was also partly a family session with their lovely daughter Macie. You can view their engagement session HERE. Emily wanted to gift Daniel something special, so I also shot a dark and moody boudoir session for Emily back in early March 2021!

Despite it raining almost consistently on Emily and Daniel’s wedding day, this did not stop these two from having a magical time. Couples worry often about rain on their wedding day, and with good reason, but Emily and Daniel’s wedding day is proof that you can still capture amazing memories and portraits no matter what! Would you believe me if I told you we were able to capture all their newlywed portraits under a small covered pull-through at the front of The Mansion at Mountain Lakes? Even though we were surrounded by pouring rain and a packed parking lot, we still captured a lot of amazing portraits, and even a rain shot at the end of the night, at The Mansion at Mountain Lakes!
